“Before the Snow” - Original

Before the Snow is my largest masterpiece inspired by the art retreat "Gold Rush: Artists in the Alpine". 10 artists including myself spent a week at Carlyle Lodge enjoying and being inspired by the larches going through their golden transformation.  I found this abundant patch of foliage on a little solo walk from the lodge and was very inspired by the light coming through the trees to shine on the late fall flowers. Before the Snow is part of my ongoing chase to catch that light before it disappears for the winter.
